Body

The medium sized cat is solid and compact. The back is very short and ends in an extremely round rump
(round like an orange). The deep flanks are an essential feature of this breed.
The legs are muscular, the front legs are short, set well apart and display a broad chest. The hind legs
are longer than the front legs. The paws are round.

The following tail varieties are recognised:

Rumpy

Rumpy riser

Stumpy

The tail is completely absent. At the end of the spine is a pronounced hollow.

The spine rises at the base upwards to a slight bow such, that the hand stroking
over the base will not be stopped in its movement.

The tail should not be longer than 3-4 cm.

Head

The head is large and rounded with prominent cheeks. The nose is of medium length and curved, but
without a stop. The chin is firm.

Ears

The ears are medium sized, open at the base, narrowing to rounded tips. They are placed relatively high
on the head.

Eyes The eyes are large and round.
All colours are permitted, but they should correspond with the coat colour.
Coat

The coat is of medium length, of silky texture and has a dense, soft undercoat. A prominent frill and
knickerbockers complete the impression.

Colour varieties

All colours and patterns are recognized. Any amount of white is permitted. The description of colours
is listed in the general list of colours.
